INSTRUCTOR: SENSEI CRAIG NORDSTRAND.(4th Dan)
Sensei Craig Joined Miyagi Kan 1986 in Sydney at Burwood Club with his son Gerard. They both progressed to 1st Dan Black Belt together. He started to instruct at Enfield Dojo in 1989 alongside Sensei John.
While at Enfield Dojo, Sensei’s students regularly made selection to the NSW State team including Sensei himself in 1993.
Did you know that one of Sensei Craig’s clubs, NSW team members of the early 1990’s is still currently training and representing Australia with Shihan?
“Yes well done Kristina, you’ve come along way with Shihan, from the chubby little 8 year old who loved to bring lollies to class, you still have a place of admiration in my heart, of all you have achieved since I left Aussie in late in 1995″.
Sensei Craig started NZ in February 1996. The club has developed over the years as one of the best in New Zealand.
Sensei Craig has had students represent NZ in Oceania’s 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2006. Also at the Commonwealths 2005 and Koi World Cups 2003, and 2004.
And in 2007, Aidan represented NZ at the World Champs in Turkey.
Sensei Craig is currently assisting with coaching, alongside with other top coaches of New Zealand in the development of the New Zealand National Team.
