Keep in mind that for seniors on the team, the Oceania Championships is the qualification tournament for the prestigious WORLD GAMES. The World Games is held every four years for a broad spectrum of sports. For karate, a chance to compete at this compteition means that you are the representative of your region i.e. Oceania, Europe, North America, South America and Africa OR a place getter at the World Championships the year before.
