To wrap up another year, the Annual Miyagi Kan Seminar was held on Sunday 29 November, 2009. It was conducted by Hanshi George Barounis and all of the senior black belts attended, including Sensei Glenn Goodwin (5th Dan) from Melbourne, Sensei Chris Bishop (5th Dan) from Milperra, Sensei John Calcara (5th Dan) from Gladesville, Sensei Akis Philippou from Rydlemere and Sensei Steve Holmes (4th Dan) from Revesby.
The seminar was an excellent opportunity to meet and train with people from other dojos and pass on holiday wishes until the next time we would most probably meet, in the new year.

This weekend also marked the most recent black belt gradings in Sydney and the following weekend was to be the black belt grading in Lismore.

CONGRATULATIONS!! to Sensei Dean Marshall for attaining the level of 3rd Dan Black Belt.

and CONGRATULATIONS!! to the following students for attaining the level of Sho Dan-Ho (Junior/ Porvisional First Degree Black Belt)
Vedrana Music, Shawn Sivewright, Dean Morgan, Reece Prior, Richard Fleming.

The New Zealand dojo will be conducting their Black Belt gradings next week and we wish them good luck and we hope to train with our friends across the Tasman soon.
